Neil Hahn comes from one of the very old Barossa families. Generations of experience growing fruit for some of the best known Barossa wines culminated in the production of the first vintage in 2002.
The 2002 Catharina Shiraz, named after the ship that Neil's great, great grandfather arrived on from Europe, scored 4.5 stars with WineState Magazine. It went on to be rated as one of the top 5 Australian wines released in 2005 in the WineState Wine of the Year Awards.
This is an absolutely remarkable achievement for a first vintage from a winery. Supplies of this wine have been tight and each vintage has sold out each year. Every vintage has been highly rated & awarded by wine critics.
This is a classic example of a family with a great heritage in the Australian wine industry producing amazing wines in small runs. |
