Summerhouse, a single-vineyard boutique Marlborough wine producer, was one of the stars at the 2008 Sydney International Wine Competition, with both the 2005 pinot noir and 2007 sauvignon blanc awarded blue-golds and places in the top 100.- Winestate & Gourmet Traveller.
The Marlborough region in New Zealand has become world famous for Sauvignon Blanc. We were in New Zealand last year and met Heather and Meric Davies from Summerhouse Wines. They are just the sort of people we like to support.
We can't produce this unique New Zealand style in Australia and the Summerhouse wines compliment the Adelaide Cellar Door Adelaide Hills wines nicely.
The Davies were viticulturalists before launching their label. Fruit quality is therefore the foundation stone of the Summerhouse wines which are all single vineyard. |
